Emptoris Inc., a vendor of supply and contract management software, has launched the Emptoris 8 suite of applications. The update includes more than 250 enhancements for companies in the areas of risk analysis, intelligence and global program agility. Elements of the suite include Emptoris Spend Analysis, Sourcing and Contract Management. The portfolio can be expanded with the addition of Emptoris Supplier Risk Analysis, allowing companies to engage in proactive risk management, and Services Procurement. The latter includes new, real-time dashboards. In the area of supplier intelligence, the tool integrates global financial, credit risk and diversity data from third-party business databases. A partnership with Equifax provides external data on more than 45 million suppliers. Expanded capability for performance scores and balanced scorecards captures key performance indicators for all locations served by a vendor, along with an overall rollup of KPIs for all lines of business served by that vendor. Supplier KPIs are captured at the plant level and incorporated into an overall performance score. Another new capability allows companies to capture extended information provided by the supplier, while standardizing registration, credentialing and certification processes. Other features of Emptoris 8 include Contractor Performance History and Multi-Party Contracting.
