New Generation Computing (NGC) has introduced an information-management application which works in tandem with the vendor's various business software suites. Known as Analytics and Report Management Software (ARMS), the decision-support tool enables custom reporting, data mining and analytics for NGC's e-PLM, e-SPS, RedHorse and other types of software. ARMS works with the NGC Global Enterprise System to simplify and centralize access to information. Users can create and share custom reports and analytic templates in a matter of minutes, according to NGC. ARMS relies on such popular technologies as Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Crystal Reports. Users can draw on comprehensive, pre-configured data marts to reduce the knowledge required to assemble data from complex business applications. The technology reduces or eliminates the need for custom programming, NGC said, while minimizing the need to train staff. NGC products include e-PLM for product lifecycle management, e-SPS for global sourcing, and the RedHorse enterprise resource planning application.
