Cadec Global has joined with Aeris Communications Inc. to offer nationwide cellular data services to customers. The Aeris cellular network was designed to improve communications for Cadec's on-board computers for trucks. It provides a single point of connectivity for users. Aeris's wireless network service was developed to provide machine-to-machine (M2M) communications to devices. It offers complete CDMA coverage of North America through relationships with more than 40 cellular providers; no roaming is required. Such services allow Cadec's on-board computers to exchange data with back-office applications such as routing, inventory and payroll. Doug Frank, vice president of professional services with Cadec, said the new arrangement will significantly improve connection speeds while reducing costs for Cadec customers.
