RedPrairie Corp. has finalized the acquisition of SofTechnics, a vendor of retail-management software. The deal combines RedPrairie's E2e productivity suite with SofTechnics' portfolio of software, which includes mobility-enabled store inventory and price management, intelligent store ordering, direct-store delivery and master data management. SofTechnics sells mobile price- and inventory-management applications to both grocery and general retailers. The combination of technologies will help customers to reduce operating costs through the use of advanced store inventory and labor-management planning, the partners said. RedPrairie claims more than 20 global offices with installations at some 34,000 customer sites in 40 countries.
