Accellos Inc. has released version 2.3 of Accellos One Optimize, the vendor's load-building and route-optimization software. The tool allows third-party logistics providers, distributors, retailers and manufacturers to maximize the effectiveness of their freight spend. The latest update includes a number of new features, including the ability to rate shipments for costs and charges, and calculate profitability; a less-than-truckload and full truckload rating system with user-defined rates; automatic "lowest cost" or "preferred" carrier selection and rating, and comparisons between private and public fleet costs. Accellos is also offering interactive decision support via profit analysis and cost allocation, while enabling the advanced use of shipping modes and equipment codes. In another company announcement, Accellos is partnering with DML Systems, Inc., a provider of financial and networking software, to deliver distribution-specific products. Ontario, Canada-based DML will sell and implement consulting services for Accellos One Warehouse, the warehouse management system (WMS) application designed for Sage Accpac and Sage MAS 90/200/500.
