The deal creates an integrated offering for rate management, schedule selection and shipment management. Drawing on Inttra's new release of the Ocean Schedules and Booking application programming interface, CargoSphere can now offer an advanced rate engine along with contract-management capability. According to the partners, the connection will enable faster decisions, streamlined workflows and fewer errors. It will also aid in subsequent invoicing and rate-dispute resolution, the companies said. CargoSphere allows each client to manage confidential rates and create a private network of trusted parties. Its product is delivered under a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, synthesizing rate management, negotiations and quoting into one continuous process. Inttra's network comprises 40 ocean carriers and non-vessel operating common carriers, along with 109 software alliance partners, reaching more than 200,000 shipping professionals.
