Made possible by an integration with the SaferWatch Carrier Qualification and Monitoring Service, the new tool gives transportation brokers the ability to retrieve constantly-updated data on the carriers with which they are doing business. They can be alerted of any compliance issues at various steps in the dispatching process. The system stores a complete record of activity, to document due diligence on the part of the broker in the event of a carrier-related incident. Carrier master files can be updated automatically with the latest available data from SaferWatch, by entering the carrier's MC or DOT number. Data imported from SaferWatch includes general location and contact information, CSA BASIC scores, safety rating, authority status, the carrier's brokerage authority, whether it is in or out of service, the number of trucks, insurance information and SaferWatch's Carrier Risk Indicator.
