SharedClarity is a joint venture between United Healthcare and four healthcare systems – Illinois-based Advocate Health Care, Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health, San Francisco-based Dignity Health and Michigan-based McLaren Health Care. The Phoenix, Ariz.-based entity conducts independent studies to determine the most effective medical devices, then contracts with manufacturers on behalf of SharedClarity members and customers. SharedClarity’s first contracts for bare metal and drug-eluting stents are available through the BravoSolution GPO Business Center. The partnership with BravoSolution will allow SharedClarity to facilitate clinical review teams’ selection of the most effective products at optimal prices, the companies said. In addition, they can source, negotiate and measure contract compliance, while giving participants an easier way to view and sign up for contracts with one integrated system. SharedClarity specializes in products for radiology, imaging, cardiology, cardiac surgical, orthopedic/spine surgical, vascular surgical, urology and ophthalmology.
