The offering now includes 90 percent of all six-digit Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes for Chinese imports and exports. Users can locate previously unknown companies doing business in and with China, and identify emerging trade trends in the country, Panjiva said. The company’s data on Chinese trade encompasses more than 375,000 companies, including nearly 100,000 Chinese companies that are importing goods. Top import product classes in 2013, according to Panjiva, included electronic integrated circuits, copper and polypropylene. China imported more than $1tr worth of goods in 2013.
