Kronos Inc. has launched Kronos for Logistics, a suite of workforce-management software applications. The offering includes modules for time and attendance, employee scheduling, workforce analytics, activities, absence management and human resources and payroll. Kronos can track each minute worked against tasks, activities and customers, providing users with real-time visibility into key labor and productivity data. The new application includes a Distribution Center Monitor, which integrates with warehouse-management systems to provide a view into order status on the distribution-center floor. "Best-fit" schedules align employees with volume and subsequently link labor costs to orders. Kronos also automates a number of formerly manual processes in the distribution center. Users can take pre-emptive action and make adjustments in order to meet delivery deadlines. They can track labor costs whenever and wherever they occur, the company said.
