Version 6.0 of the SmartChain Consignment Management Application (CMA) of Savi Technology has been certified as "powered" by the NetWeaver technology platform of SAP AG. SmartChain CMA integrates with SAP software to provide an automated means of synchronizing supply-chain planning and execution. Savi's products are aimed at the defense industry, public sector and commercial customers. SAP certification allows the Savi platform and applications for asset, shipment and consignment management to obtain visibility data both for goods in transit and on site. Users of SmartChain CMA can more quickly adjust supplies and deliveries in line with changes in demand or situational requirements, the vendor said. In addition, SmartChain CMA links to sensor-based data to achieve a higher awareness of asset conditions and security status. Automated alerts report on unplanned events as they happen, and supply-chain partners can share information when needed. Savi is a business unit of Lockheed Martin.
