New Momentum Inc., a vendor of hosted software for corporate brand protection, has expanded its sales, support and operations organizations. At the same time, it has shifted the company's headquarters to San Rafael in Northern California. The move was made to be closer to the high-tech industry, New Momentum's largest market. Chief executive officer Pam Passaretti said companies are becoming increasingly concerned about counterfeit sales and channel violations. They are seeking to boost their online monitoring and brand-protection programs. The vendor will continue to maintain an office and major sales presence in Southern California. New Momentum provides applications under the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. Its tools are meant to combat the erosion of revenue, profitability and market share resulting from global outsourcing and internet trading. Its products include Enterprise Brand Intelligence for anti-counterfeiting, and Enterprise Sales Intelligence for the identification of channel violations.
