DHL has launched an initiative aimed at helping small and medium-sized U.S. companies involved in international trade. The program involves networking events, website resources, and an expanded operating network. In partnership with Inc. magazine, DHL is conducting a series of events called Business Across Borders, to provide companies with advice on conducting business globally. The events bring together DHL's logistics experts and leaders from some of the nation's fastest-growing international companies. It will include panel discussions, question-and-answer sessions and networking opportunities. In addition, small and medium-sized businesses can access resources through a new DHL website, www.DHLsmallbusiness.com, dedicated to their needs. It includes online tools, reference guides and special offers. An electronic newsletter, in collaboration with Inc., provides shippers with foundational knowledge for succeeding in global marketplaces. This year, DHL expanded its presence in rural areas, improving delivery transit times to nearly 1,700 remote areas.
