Oco Inc., a vendor of business-intelligence applications delivered under the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, has joined with Tompkins Associates to help companies benchmark their supply-chain performance. Tompkins is a consultancy specializing in global supply-chain services and best practices. The new partnership integrates Tompkins' vertical-market benchmark metrics with Oco's supply-chain analytics. The Oco system covers inventory, transportation, supplier performance, distribution, cost to serve, profitability analysis and manufacturing operations functions. Users will have access to benchmarking data from the more than 500 member companies of the Tompkins Associates' Supply Chain Consortium. According to the two companies, they can benefit from metrics derived from specific segments within the consumer packaged goods, industrial, high-tech, retail, pharmaceutical and logistics service provider markets. Customers can compare their aggregated performance data to a relevant peer set, leading to the identification of lagging and best-performing products, regions, customers, distribution centers, plants, carriers and suppliers. In addition to maintaining its own product portfolio, Oco offers an on-demand business-intelligence capability through its partnership with SAP BusinessObjects.
