An addition to the company's line of space-management products, the tool provides field and retail operations personnel with real-time information about consumer packaged goods. Retailers can use it to ensure planogram compliance by employees stocking shelves, while manufacturers can scan and upload SKUs, create reports and share information. Capabilities in the initial release include planogram implementation, capturing, compliance and reporting. Aldata hosts each client's information in a cloud-based data store. Product-level information is uploaded to the cloud, and the application is configured to link the data to in-store smart devices. Users can access the information to implement or capture planograms for compliance-checking or reporting. The software is currently available for use on Android smart phones, and will be extended to iPhone and tablet devices shortly, Aldata said.
