The application suite features a new Web-based user interface, which allows users to access AspenTech products from a web-enabled devices. The company software modules include aspenONE Exchange a content marketplace which provides a one-stop shop for engineers sourcing equipment data, third-party content and AspenTech resources directly from Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS for process design. Aspen PIMS Platinum software provides refinery planners with a Web-based interface that allows for the rapid evaluation of multiple scenarios. Version 8.2 adds the ability to run planning cases and modify data directly in flow-sheet views, to identify market opportunities. Enhancements to aspenONE Engineering software include expanded solids-modeling capabilities in Aspen Plus Software for specialty chemicals and agrochemicals industries, and new "Plant View" functionality, allowing engineers to select real-time information and visualize how plant variables have performed over time. The vendor has also added features to Aspen Economic Evaluation, which allows engineers to ensure that designs comply with safety requirements.
