The tool replaces manually intensive customization tasks, thereby reducing the need for resources, JDA said. The newest release features three major enhancements: store clustering, allowing users to more easily define strategies and tactics for a group of stores, then apply them to a sub-cluster or individual locations with Assortment Generator; customized local planograms, allowing for some "flex" space during the automated planogram generation process; and a flexible and scalable code base, with the new release of JDA Space Automation Professional. The last makes it easier to automate all JDA Category Management applications to target individual store needs, the vendor said.
