The ex-works service provides door-to-door transportation from any non-restricted origin point in the world to any airport in India. According to AMI, it is suitable for virtually any commodity except perishables. Users can choose between direct expedited service and an economy consolidated option. As with all AMI services, the new ex-works service is available only to bona fide freight agents. Airfreight wholesaling allows freight agents to purchase space through an intermediary, generally at lower rates than are offered by the airline or shipping line itself.
