Oz focuses on helping small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) automate their logistics and supply-chain processes, by integrating with major enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and supply-chain platforms. It supports such processes as order fulfillment, inventory management and scanning, and shipping. "The Oz team brings deep domain expertise to Descartes for supply-chain challenges in the SMB market," said Descartes chief executive officer Edward J. Ryan. Purchase price of the acquisition was approximately $29.5m, which was paid in cash, Descartes said.
