JDA Software Group, Inc. has launched the new version of its JDA Executive S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Workbench. The tool is intended to help companies migrate their S&OP processes from the short-term tactical level to a more strategic, long-term approach, the vendor said. They can reconcile operational and financial goals by gaining a more global view of their capabilities and constraints, it added. The "one-stop" application consolidates data from disparate business processes into a single, searchable planning repository. It offers built-in templates, which allow for creation of an optimal, synchronized plan that aligns with overall business strategy. Scenario planning and management capabilities provide metrics and calculations that enable real-time adjustments to key data, while tracking inputs over time. The tool can also provide workflow to ensure the efficiency of relevant business processes, serve as a task-management tool, assign accountability, and track the completion of tasks in support of the overall strategic plan. The Executive S&OP Workbench was developed in partnership with Oliver Wight, a consultant in the area of S&OP best practices.
