Activant Solutions has made available version 5.6 of its B2B Seller, a Web-based storefront application. B2B Seller integrates with Prophet 21, a component of the Activant Distribution Suite, providing an additional customer-support representative around the clock. In B2B Advanced and above, Activant software provides exclusive discounts for shoppers on a number of levels. Temporary, non-stock or items typically not updated to the B2B Seller shopping cart can be added by applying an item class 5 "NON-WEB" specification. A login prompt displays for anonymous shoppers when they reach the shipping and billing stage of the order process, reminding them that they have not logged in. New options are available to indicate how a persistent cart should behave when an anonymous shopper logs on to the site. Activant serves three primary markets: hardlines and lumber, wholesale distribution and the automotive parts aftermarket.
