GE Capital Fleet Services has launched a new version of Mobile Resource Intelligence, the vendor's tool for the routing and dispatching of mobile workers. Key features of the expanded telematics application include closest vehicle search, same-day and historical trip history for multiple vehicles, user-defined point-of-interest (POI) search and display, near-real-time POI events, driving directions with e-mail capability and flexible vehicle labeling. Functions include the creation of efficient routes at the lowest possible cost, based on fleet trip history; searchability of multiple POI types, which can be simultaneously displayed on an interactive map; calculation and display of when a vehicle has stopped within the POI geofence; and customization of labels based on vehicle or fleet attributes. In addition, the vendor has created a right-click menu for easy access to key features. Address and location data can be pre-filled without the need for manual entry, according to GE Capital Fleet Services.
