Choice Logistics, a provider of logistics services for critical service parts, has formed a new Business Process Improvement (BPI) group. The move will help companies to improve organizational performance, Choice said. It coincides with introduction of the next phase of the vendor's BPI program, which includes enhancements to workflow and knowledge management, with an eye toward streamlining information-sharing and business processes. The workflow-management system oversees relevant processes based on a combination of regulatory and operational requirements. The knowledge-management feature offers tools to aggregate and manage large amounts of data to service client accounts. The system gathers and applies client-specific data, including trade compliance, inventory tracking and terminology definitions, on a real-time basis.
