The update includes improvements in end-user interactivity, global logistics capabilities and localized routing. Modules with enhancements include JDA Transportation Manager, Transportation Planner and Transportation Modeler. The applications are part of JDA eight, the recently announced release built on a platform that encompasses more than 30 products, unifying supply-chain management, optimization and business analytics for deployment in the cloud. JDA Transportation Manager, the execution application of the vendor's latest release, features the JDA Transportation Smartbench, a new user interface which was designed to provide greater amounts of data for real-time decision-making. JDA Transportation & Logistics Management allows users to optimize and manually generate bookings of multiple containers, and to tender to ocean carriers. They can also execute routing movements at a granular street level, with private and dedicated-fleet execution capability.
