The deal combines HighJump's electronic data interchange (EDI) platform with Unison's Envio software. Customers of the latter will be able more easily to integrate their inventory management with EDI, the partners said. They can automatically receive purchase orders from trading partners directly into their accounting systems, and generate invoices. In a related announcement, the TrueCommerce EDI Solutions Group is teaming up with AdvancePro Technologies, a provider of inventory-management software. AdvancePro users will be able to send and receive EDI documents to and from their AdvancePro systems. The application offers integration with QuickBooks Enterprise; support for multiple warehouse locations, item transfers and drop-shipment processing, and an integrated electronic-commerce interface for unified item maintenance and management.
