RedPrairie Corp. has enhanced Site Manager, the user interface for its Workforce Management software. The improvements include new mobility features, based on a year's worth of feedback from retail managers. Smart phones using Site Manager can access critical labor and execution-management data where managers are located, with the need for a laptop or desktop computer. An Exception Management panel provides a navigation tool which alerts retail store and district managers to items requiring attention, from approaching overtime to promotion setup status. The Schedule Editor allows store managers to schedule staff automatically, compare schedules to expected demand, and determine the accuracy of the process. Users can drill down to see how workforce demands for different job roles might change according to the hour or day. The Execution Management feature enables managers to determine whether merchandise arrived on time and whether they have all required fixtures, as well as notify headquarters of any changes that they made to store-specific planograms.
