According to NetSuite, the deal builds on its SuiteCommerce platform, providing an integrated, cloud-based business software suite for retailers. It supports the multiple customer touch-points that are integral to the retail sector, including physical points of sale, brick-and-mortar stores, call centers, social media and electronic-commerce applications via desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets. A NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer Network (SDN) partner, Retail Anywhere created the Anywhere POS SuiteApp for NetSuite. The application runs on traditional point-of-sale hardware as well as on the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch mobile devices. Customers can boost visibility by drawing on data from across the business. The tool provides a single view of customer orders, preferences, contacts and payment information. Retailers gain on-demand views into such data as same-store sales, average ticket price, average items per ticket, and sales per square foot. Partners supporting the NetSuite retail applications include DigitalPersona for biometrics readers, Ingenico for signature capture and payment terminals, JustEnough for retail planning, Mercury for integrated payment processing, SenSource for customer traffic counters, and Valogix for inventory planning and optimization.
