New versions of JDA Workforce Management and JDA Commerce Suite help retailers to simplify and automate retail execution, the vendor said. The two products were both originally developed by JDA acquisition RedPrairie. New features of Workforce Management include a mobility platform which allows retailers to mobilize a workforce across the organization. Individual applications include JDA Mobile Employee Connect, Operations Connect, Shift Connect and Manager Connect. Functionality includes time and attendance, operations and reporting, dashboards and key-performance indicators, employee shift pickups and swaps for unplanned schedule changes. Enhancements to the JDA Commerce Suite include upgrades to embedded relationship-marketing capabilities, allowing retailers to capture customer history and preferences. The vendor's capabilities provide automated follow-ups based on customer history and events from the retailer's cross-channel transactions. A merchant desktop includes an all-channel commerce control panel, with updates to the page builder, product media and family management, price management and dynamic assortment applications.
